The 1st Meeting of the Scandinavian Society for Economic and Social History

Ekonomikum, Uppsala University in Uppsala, 10–12 October, 2019.

Since 1996 the bi-annual Swedish Economic History meeting, arranged by the Swedish Economic History Association has provided an arena for economic historians in Sweden and neighbouring countries, offering a comprehensive overview of ongoing research. We are happy to extend the reach of the meeting through collaboration with the 1st meeting of the Scandinavian Society for Economic and Social History.

The Scandinavian Economic History Review is offering the possibility for participants at the conference to submit their papers for fast track consideration for publication.

Seminar – Research Agendas for the Future: Business History in Perspective

BI_globalSenter for Næringslivshistorie ved Handelshøyskolen BI inviterer til 2-dagers konferanse om utviklingen av bedriftshistorie som disiplin, i Norge og internasjonalt. Arrangørene skriver: «This workshop sets out to ask to what extent business history has become too fragmented and secluded and whether the field possesses the theoretical and methodological resources needed to pose the best questions, and offer the relevant answers, for the 21st Century. Business history will therefore be discussed and investigated from various perspectives with the aim of understanding business history in the past and present with an eye for future development.»

Konferansen byr på innlegg fra norske og internasjonale økonomiske historikere.
